Reporting to the Managing Director, the role holder will establish policies, streamline processes, sense-check sales projections and commercial objectives, and govern the financial risk management process Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic guidance to ensure the companyโ€™s long-term financial stability
  • Ensure the company meets its financial commitments and goals
  • To provide financial sense-check and governance of the long-term growth strategy, annual budget objectives and targets
  • Manage the preparation of budgets, sales reports and forecasts
  • Preparation of quarterly management accounts and presentation to the board
  • Day-to-day management and supervision of the finance & operations assistant
  • Provide guidance for setting margins and pricing
  • Streamlining processes and identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities
  • Identify and report on KPIs
  • Managing finance assistant and reviewing accounts receivable and payable, payroll, banking and all general ledger entries
  • Keep abreast of requirements and changes in financial/tax regulations and legislation.
Qualification and Experience
  • Several yearsโ€™ experience of working as a Finance Manager or senior accountant
  • Recognised senior accountancy qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commercial acumen
  • Must be a strategic thinker
  • Good understanding of tax
  • Project management skills
  • Broad understanding of current affairs and impact on currency/foreign exchange.
